Custom Home Plan Selection and Design
During this phase, we begin in our design center. Our stock plan book is filled with over 200 home plans. Our customers can choose a stock plan, modify a stock plan, take pieces from several stock plans and create something new or create a completely custom plan from their own vision.
Custom Home Site Selection and Evaluation
After you decide on what your home will look like, we help you find a site for your new home in Central Florida. We also assist you in evaluating the site to ensure it’s just the right site for your new home.
What if you already have a site for your new home? No problem – we can help you evaluate optimal locations within that site for your new custom-built home.
Lender and Title Assistance
One of the most stressful parts of building a new home is dealing with lending and title institutions. At American Family Homes, our years of experience working with these institutions help keep the experience pleasant and productive.

Every custom home plan includes examination from a Florida state certified energy rater. Custom Home Warranty
To add extra piece of mind, we include a 2/10 year Structural Warranty to your new custom-built home. The warranty is transferable and provided through Bonded Builders.

Home Builder Project Walks
With every home we build, we want to ensure you’re completely satisfied. This is the basis of having a minimum of three formal project walks.
During the first walk through, the Pre-drywall walk, we make sure you like positioning for things like:
- Receptacles
- Switches
- Interior door swings
- Wall heights
After we build your new home, we do a Home Owner Orientation, during this walk through, we show you how to operate your home and create a punch list that we complete within 3 days. After this, you start moving in.
After 30 days of living in the home, we do a 30-day walk through. If there’s anything we need to address, this is the time let us know so we can address your concerns right away.
